Homestay Woodstock

I stayed for almost two weeks at the Woodstock Homestay in Gili Trawangan, with a pause in between as I was hiking Mount Rinjani. Woodstock Homestay is an exciting eco-friendly accommodation built using eco-friendly materials on Gili Trawangan. Their motto is:

Come as guest, leave as a friend

Location

Wood Stock is situated within the local village area where you find the most social friendly and hospitable people and is approximately 6 minutes’ walk from the beautiful white sandy beach with calm water, where you can go snorkeling to see the turtles and many colorful species.

Rooms

There are 6 individual bungalows, 2 family rooms and 3 airconditioned rooms. All the rooms have fresh and hot water and electricity powered by solar energy taking advantage of the everyday sunshine. Prices range from 250.000 for one person up to 600.000 rupiah for a family accommodation.

Breakfast

Woodstock is famous for its large breakfast where you can choose from coffee or tea, different juices, a fruit plate and your choice between eggs with toast or pancake.

Gili Trawangan

Gili Trawangan has become a very popular tourist destination to the east of Bali over the past few years. Imagine all the things you would do on a perfect tropical holiday – walking along white sandy beaches, swimming in crystal clear and warm waters, seaside BBQs and poolside cocktails. All these can be found on Gili Trawangan.

Gili Trawangan is the largest of Lombok’s Gili islands. Measuring 3 km long and 2 km wide, it has a population of around 700. Of the Gilis, Trawangan has the most tourist facilities. The most crowded part of Trawangan lies on the eastern side.

Bali Travel Guide

I created a bucket with the great local restaurants, bars, cafés and more around Bali.
